Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions becomes an official partner of Borussia Dortmund (BVB)
01/10/2026

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Europe and football club Borussia Dortmund Football Club (BVB) have announced their partnership. As an official partner of BVB, Panasonic will support the club with its expertise in energy-efficient heating, air conditioning and cooling solutions. The partnership is set to run for five seasons up to 2031.
BVB and Panasonic aim to work together to raise the profile of innovative technologies and drive forward specific projects to modernise the club’s infrastructure. Plans include pilot projects at various BVB facilities where Panasonic’s innovative heat pump, air conditioning and cooling systems can be utilised.
A shared commitment to an efficient sports infrastructure
Borussia Dortmund is committed to sustainability and responsible conduct. Panasonic supports these commitments with its highly efficient solutions for heating, cooling and air conditioning. The partnership offers an opportunity to demonstrate how modern building technologies can support one of Europe’s best-known football clubs.
At the heart of the partnership is a shared belief in the power of people working together towards a common goal. Borussia Dortmund represents passion, togetherness and the conviction that extraordinary things can be achieved as a team, values that resonate strongly with Panasonic’s commitment to innovation and responsibility.
José Manuel Alves, Regional Director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Ireland, commented,
“Borussia Dortmund is far more than just a football club. BVB stands for emotion, solidarity and a unique bond between the team and the fans. At the same time, we are united by our responsibility towards future generations. With our technologies, we aim to help make the club’s infrastructure more sustainable and support its decarbonisation targets. In this way, we combine top-class performance on the pitch with responsibility for the future.”
Borussia Dortmund welcomes a strong partner for efficient and innovative technologies
Borussia Dortmund regards the partnership as a key component of its strategic ambitions and the ongoing development of its infrastructure.
Benedikt Scholz, Director, Authorised Signatory, Internationalisation & Commercial Partnerships at Borussia Dortmund, says:
In Panasonic, we have found a partner who shares our ambitions and supports us on this journey with innovative technologies. Together, we want to show that football can have an impact far beyond the pitch. That is precisely where the strength of this partnership lies.”
