ScottishPower and Panasonic deliver joint approach to provide greener, warmer homes at less cost for GB homeowners
03/11/2025

Leading green energy firm ScottishPower and Panasonic, a global innovator in heating and cooling technologies, have joined forces in a bid to make the adoption of green technology in GB homes more affordable.
Customers who choose a Panasonic heat pump from ScottishPower will benefit from a £1,000 discount. Those who also receive their energy supply from ScottishPower will receive a £300 energy bill credit, helping to reduce household energy bills even further through the winter months.
In addition, the unique heat pump bundle promotion will include a heat pump optimizer and smart radiator thermostat from ScottishPower’s partner, tado°, enabling heating to be managed remotely, and room by room, leading to further energy savings of up to 22%*.
To complete the package, Panasonic is offering a £100 voucher redeemable for use against products bought via its online store.

The unique collaboration aims to make it easier for homeowners to invest in heat pumps while helping them to reduce their carbon footprint and potentially lower their energy bills over the longer term.
A heat pump draws heat from the air to create a heating and hot water solution, every day of the year, using only a small amount of energy – and is considered an energy-efficient alternative to traditional gas heating systems.
Rozlyn Brennan, Smart Solutions Director for ScottishPower’s Customer Business, said: “We know that a significant proportion of the UK’s carbon emissions come from domestic housing, and that measures like heat pumps and solar panels are practical solutions in reducing this.
“These more energy efficient solutions can have a positive impact on how we each run our home while also supporting the move to a net zero country.”
“We’re proud to partner with Panasonic to make low-carbon heating more accessible and affordable for our customers. This limited time offer is a great opportunity for households to upgrade their heating systems while enjoying significant savings.”

Paul Taylor, Head of Renewable Heating for Panasonic UK, said:
“We’re delighted to launch this promotion in partnership with Scottish Power, making it easier and more affordable for households to upgrade to low-carbon heating. By combining generous discounts with ongoing energy savings, this initiative not only helps customers reduce their bills but also supports the UK’s transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.”
UK Government figures show a significant increase in interest following the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s decision to raise the value of the heat pump grant under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) to £7,500. This 50% increase in funding led to over 2,000 applications for heat pump grants in January 2024 – an increase of nearly 39% compared to the same period the previous year. [1]
In Scotland, additional support is available through Scottish Government schemes such as Home Energy Scotland, which offers grants and interest-free loans to help households transition to low-carbon heating.
Together, these UK-wide and devolved government initiatives are helping accelerate the adoption of heat pumps and support the shift to cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
ScottishPower and Panasonic’s partnership offer will run from 4th November to 27th February 2026, encouraging customers to make the switch to green technology throughout the winter period when heating costs will undoubtedly rise.

Introduced in 2022, the BUS aims to help households switch from fossil fuel heating systems to cleaner, low-carbon heating alternatives by covering the majority of the average upfront cost of an air source heat pump.
