Panasonic Launches Aquarea High-Performance N Series, a Next-Generation Refrigerant Split Solution
13/10/2026

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has
launched the Aquarea High-Performance N Series, a refrigerant split heat pump
designed for flexible installation and enhanced serviceability. Built around
the next-generation R454C refrigerant, the new range gives installers a compact
and adaptable solution suited to a wide variety of residential projects, from
detached houses to multi-family apartment buildings.
Next-Generation Refrigerant Split Solution
The N Series keeps the refrigerant split
configuration that many installers know and prefer, with the outdoor and indoor
units connected by refrigerant pipework. What changes is the refrigerant. The N
Series uses R454C, which has a global warming potential (GWP) below 150, so
installers can continue to specify split systems with confidence as Europe’s
F-Gas regulations tighten. The range is available in 3, 5, 7 and 9 kW
capacities and delivers strong seasonal efficiency, with energy ratings of up
to A++ at 55°C and up to A+++ at 35°C flow temperatures, alongside domestic hot
water performance rated up to A+.
Installation Flexibility for a Wide Range of
Applications
The N Series is built to adapt to diverse
building layouts. Piping lengths of up to 50 m and a height difference of up to
30 m between the outdoor and indoor unit allow installers to fit the system
into single-family homes and multi-storey apartment blocks alike, without
compromising on performance.
New All in One: More Compact and flexible to
Install
At the centre of the launch is the redesigned
All in One indoor unit, now standing just 1,575 mm high with a 599 x 602 mm
footprint. The reduced height helps installers maximise placement options in
limited spaces, from utility cupboards to smaller plant rooms, while
maintaining an integrated appearance within the home.
The unit has also been redesigned to make
installation and servicing easier day to day:
- Easy
positioning and levelling, aided by front height adjusters and rear castors for
transport
- Space-efficient
rear drainpipe routing to simplify pipework
- Top
access wiring with an integrated cable duct
- Easier
PCB access through a magnetic panel and fewer screws
Comfort and Performance
Low operating noise plays a big part in
everyday comfort, particularly in built-up areas. An optimised system design
keeps sound levels down across the range, with the 5 kW outdoor unit achieving
a sound power level of just 58 dB(A)*. This gives installers more freedom when placing
the outdoor unit close to bedrooms, neighbouring properties or shared outdoor
spaces, which is often a deciding factor on denser housing and apartment
projects.
Smart Control for Homeowners, Remote
Maintenance for Installers
Every N Series indoor unit is supplied with a
Cloud Adaptor as standard, installed via the front panel for quick and
intuitive connectivity. For homeowners, this links the system to the Panasonic
Comfort Cloud App, giving remote control of heating and hot water and a clear
view of energy consumption. The range is also compatible with Panasonic’s new
Aquarea remote controller, which offers an optimised user interface.
For installers, the same adaptor connects to
the Aquarea Service Cloud, which supports remote maintenance in Standard,
Advanced and Diagnosis versions. This helps engineers respond faster and keep
downtime to a minimum for their customers.
Availability
With a familiar split configuration, a
lower-GWP refrigerant and a more compact indoor unit, the Aquarea
High-Performance N Series gives installers a straightforward route to
future-ready residential heating. The Aquarea N Series range is available
across Europe.
