April 8th, 2019 – Panasonic has introduced its most advanced Etherea VKE series to date. The new VKE models boast the highest energy class, A+++ in heating and A+++ in cooling, of any Etherea range so far. With a slim and elegant design, plus new nanoe™ X air purifying technology and built-in WLAN connection - the VKE models provide a stylish and more intelligent air conditioning solution. Available in a range of capacities, there’s an Etherea model that suits every space.

The highlight of the VKE series includes built-in WLAN for enhanced control, easy internet connection and convenient on-the-go management. A sleek new wireless remote controller provides at-home control, while the Panasonic Comfort Cloud app offers on-the-go management of your Etherea air conditioning from any Android or iOS smart device. From changing the temperature, to switching Etherea on or off, you can now set the comfort of your home from your armchair or anywhere in the world.

For a healthier home, the new Etherea models now feature Panasonic nanoe™ X air purifying technology. This break-through technology oxidises bacteria in the air by generating billions of OH radicals per second, helping to inhibit up to 99.9% of certain types of bacteria and viruses (including influenza) within the air. The technology also inhibits mould and allergens in the air, as well as helping to retain the moisture within your skin - for a healthier home and a healthier you. In fact, nanoe™ X is so effective, this cutting-edge technology has been chosen by a well-known luxury automobile manufacturer, among others, to equip its vehicles with better indoor air quality.

With the wellbeing of customers and the environment being at the heart of Panasonic product development, the Etherea VKE series now uses the more environmentally-friendly R32 refrigerant. R32 is easy to recycle, has zero impact on the ozone layer and 75% less impact on global warming , helping to lower the carbon footprint of a home. It is also a more economical alternative with higher efficiency2 and 30% less refrigerant used, so customers can enjoy cost savings as well as significant environmental benefits.

To maximise comfort, Aerowings technology concentrates airflow to distribute cool air evenly throughout the room, featuring a wider intake grill and super-high fan speed to produce more air volume. After reaching a set temperature, the Aerowings twin blades direct air towards the ceiling to create a Shower Cooling effect, enabling the best comfort.
