Panasonic Introduces Air Handling Units Connection Kit for Enhanced HVAC Project Flexibility and Efficiency
21/01/2026

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has announced the
launch of its new air handling unit (AHU) connection kit, available
with Panasonic’s 2-pipe VRF ECOi range including the new R32 ECOi EX MZ1 series.
The kit supports a wide range of applications, from compact commercial
installations to larger-scale developments.
Providing flexible control for VRF 2-pipe and air handling unit projects, the kit offers several sizes of selectable expansion valve to meet various project capacity requirements. The AHU kit control manages capacity ranges in line with compatible VRF indoor units, covering nominal cooling from 12 - 134 kW and nominal heating from 12.5 – 150 kW.
A key feature is the built-in controller which manages daily operational functions and service levels without the need for additional external components. Integration into Building Management Systems (BMS) is simplified through Modbus communication, eliminating the requirement for extra interface modules and enabling faster and more cost-effective setup.
With a space-saving compact casing and accurate control using a pressure transducer, the AHU connection kit ensures optimal performance and reliability. The airflow range has been extended with this new model to meet wider airflow requirements, which is beneficial to more applications as it now achieves a maximum airflow of 40,000 m³/h when paired with 44 – 48 HP multi outdoor units[1]. This makes it ideal for projects that require higher air volumes without compromising footprint or system compatibility. The new kit can also now control a stable supply air temperature[2].
Additional features include 0-10 V control and fine-tuned capacity adjustment in 5% increments, offering greater accuracy in temperature and airflow management. The durable casing supports both indoor and outdoor installations.
By combining advanced control features, efficient integration and scalable performance, Panasonic’s new generation AHU connection kit MAH4M is a smart and reliable solution for today’s dynamic HVAC needs.
