Panasonic launches Aquarea 5kW Mono Bloc heat pump with the highest COP on the market
10/02/2014
Panasonic’s highly efficient air-to-water heat pump range now offers even more with the launch of the 5kW Aquarea Mono Bloc heat pump which is ideal for new build projects.
Specially designed for low consumption homes, the new Aquarea 5kW Mono-Bloc is ideal for installation in new residential properties or where space for an outdoor unit is limited. There is no separate indoor unit needed as Panasonic’s Mono-Bloc enclosure contains all components within a single unit: heat exchanger; seven-speed hot water circulation pump; safety valve; pressure gauge and a 3 kW electrical heater to provide back-up in extreme cold weather.
Marc Diaz, UK Country Manager of Panasonic Heating and Cooling said: “The new Aquarea 5kW Mono-Bloc model offers amazing energy savings. With a high COP of 5.08, it’s a super-efficient way of heating a low consumption home. With a compact design, the units are small, making them perfect for social housing, small homes and apartments – especially new builds – where space is at a premium.”
Panasonic’s latest range of Aquarea systems are easy to install, saving time and cost and are capable of providing both heating and cooling as standard. However, the cooling function is locked out and must be activated via the special functions feature within the controller
New remote control functions have been added to provide the homeowner with an easy to use system which meets their lifestyle requirements. ‘Auto mode’ will automatically change from heating to cooling depending on outdoor temperature, while the concrete slab drying mode will help to speed up drying times without affecting the construction.. Finally, the controls now include an energy consumption feature, which will instantly display the weekly, monthly or yearly consumption of the system.
. This allows the building owner to observe and control the amount of energy the house consumes. With strict building regulations, this is an important aspect.
Special attention has been paid to noise levels. Panasonic has created a ‘Quiet mode’ which reduces the sound even further, making it extremely quiet.
The Mono-Bloc can be combined with Panasonic’s range of Aquarea accessories including high efficient tanks for sanitary hot water production and the newly launched innovative range of Aquarea Air radiators.
