Introducing Panasonic’s Aquarea L Generation Hydro Split All in One Heat Pumps
15/06/2023
Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is expanding its range of Aquarea L Generation heat pumps with its Hydro Split All in One High Performance units - now available across Europe. The L Generation series utilises the natural refrigerant R290, which has a low GWP of 3, therefore it has a lower environmental impact when released into the atmosphere compared to other refrigerants and allows for a more energy efficient solution.
The new heat pumps offer unmatched efficiency and reliability in heating and cooling, whilst retaining the strengths of the Panasonic Aquarea range. The units are available in capacities 5, 7 and 9kW. The series provides outstanding efficiency with a SCOP of up to 5.06, as well as benefitting from a reduced sound level, up to 8dB(A) less than previous models. The All in One R290 unit has a hydraulic connection between the indoor and outdoor unit, providing water outlet temperatures of up to 75°C down to -10°C. These units are ideal for retrofit applications, when renovating a home with existing radiators.
The award-winning heat pumps were recognised in the 2022 Good Design Awards. As well as recognising the performance efficiencies of the units, the judges commended the outdoor unit's design which blends into the landscape and contributes to the improvement of the surrounding environment. Moreover, the units were also awarded the iF Design Award and The Red Dot Award, both highlighting the outstanding design of the heat pumps, aesthetically as well as and functionally.
Panasonic’s Aquarea All in One Heat Pump is a compact, easy-to-install system with a footprint of 598 x 600mm. It can be neatly lined up with other big appliances like a refrigerator or washing machine to reduce the space required for installation. Thanks to its low height, it can also be installed with a ventilation unit on top. Supplying efficient heating, the unit generates domestic hot water and stores it inside a 185L stainless steel tank with U-Vacua™ insulation to reduce energy losses.
