Panasonic Expands Aquarea M Series with New Compact Solution
13/10/2026

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions has introduced the new Aquarea
High-Performance M Series, expanding its R290 air-to-water heat pump range with
new compact indoor and outdoor units designed for flexible residential
installation. Available in 3, 5, 7 and 9 kW capacities, the range is suitable
for both new-build and retrofit projects, including homes where indoor or
outdoor installation space is limited.
Compact dimensions, greater flexibility
The single-fan outdoor unit is similarly compact, measuring 996 mm high,
1,200 mm wide and 430 mm deep, while its contemporary grille helps minimise its
visual impact in residential settings. Installation flexibility is central to
the expanded Aquarea M Series. The outdoor unit can be paired with Panasonic’s
new compact all-in-one indoor unit, a bi-bloc system or used as a standalone
solution with either a control module or remote controller, providing
installers greater scope to specify the right configuration for each property.
At 1,427 mm high, the compact all-in-one is 215 mm lower than the existing
model, making it a practical option for homes with restricted ceiling heights
or limited utility and plant-room space.
Reliable residential performance
Beyond its compact footprint, the expanded Aquarea M Series delivers efficient, high-temperature performance across both retrofit and new-build applications:
·
Lower-impact, high-temperature heating: R290
refrigerant has a GWP of 0.02, while water temperatures of up to 75°C at -10°C
support boiler replacement projects with high-temperature radiators. The range
continues operating at outdoor temperatures down to -28°C.
·
Efficient comfort for new homes:
Ratings of up to A+++ at a 35°C flow temperature, together with cooling
capability, make the range well suited to low-temperature new-build systems such
as Panasonic smart fan coils and under floor heating.
·
Efficient hot water: The compact
all-in-one achieves an A+ domestic hot water rating and produces temperatures
of up to 65°C without an electric heater.
·
Quiet operation: The 5
kW prototype delivers sound pressure levels from 26 dB(A) at five metres, with
an ErP sound power level of 50 dB(A).
Designed for easier installation and servicing
Panasonic has introduced several practical features to simplify
transportation, positioning and commissioning:
·
Easier handling:
Integrated handles and pre-installed rear castors help installers move the compact
all-in-one unit into position.
·
Precise positioning: Front
height adjusters simplify levelling and pipework alignment on uneven floors.
·
Neater installation: A rear
groove, top-access wiring and an integrated cable duct support tidy pipework
and cable routing.
·
Faster servicing: Key
electrical components are accessible behind a magnetically detachable panel
secured with fewer screws.
Smart control and remote maintenance
The Cloud Adaptor is included as standard with every indoor unit. It
connects to the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App, enabling homeowners to remotely
control heating and hot water functions and monitor energy consumption.
Installers can use the Aquarea Service Cloud to monitor and maintain
customers’ systems remotely, helping to reduce response times, unnecessary
visits and system downtime. For full product specification and technical
information watch the video.
The 5, 7 and 9 kW models will join the Aquarea M Series from spring
2027, broadening the options available for space-conscious new-build and
retrofit projects.
