Panasonic Aquarea Installation at Carluccio’s, Highly Commended at the Heat Pump Awards

FWP Air Conditioning celebrates being awarded, “The Highly Commended Installation of the Year, Commercial Air Source Heat Pump for Carluccio’s Restaurant” at this years National Heat Pump Awards held at the ICC Birmingham.
The installation team, FWP Air Conditioning and Distributor, Oceanair UK Ltd were asked by the client to come up with an energy efficient system design which would provide the desired volume of hot water, at the correct temperature, at the same time reducing energy costs.
FWP installed a 12kW Panasonic Aquarea T-CAP mono bloc unit, which would allow for the free air from the kitchen roof space to be transferred through condensing unit providing hot water at the optimum temperature. With a high coefficient of performance (COP), for every kW of electricity the system uses, it provides 4kW of energy. This makes the Aquarea far more cost effective than a conventional heating system.
Managing Director of FWP Air Conditioning Stuart Frudd said, “I’m extremely pleased with the achievements of everyone involved in this project. The key element in this project was not only to install a system that was energy efficient and cost effective, but also to provide a sustainable solution that could be rolled out across the chain of restaurants".
Energy monitoring meters had been installed at the new site and an existing site, which had an emersion heating system installed. The results were overwhelming; Carluccio’s restaurant would achieve a cost saving of £2831 per annum giving them a total payback in two years.
This recognition will continue to encourage FWP Air Conditioning to provide long term sustainable solutions.
