Panasonic has announced the winners of its 2nd PRO Awards, celebrating excellence across Europe in the design, specification, installation and commissioning of projects using Panasonic heating and cooling systems.
The scheme attracted a wealth of entries from seven European countries, all competing for best-in-class in residential, hospitality, retail and commercial categories. Eight PRO Partners were triumphant in the PRO Awards, receiving a trophy along with the opportunity to join Panasonic on an exciting trip to Japan.
The winning PRO Partners illustrated best practice when it comes to specifying and installing heating and cooling systems. Alongside the main categories, this year’s judges also awarded three special recognition awards, for excellence in innovation, energy efficiency and use of GHP technology.
The PRO Award winners are:

The eight winners were carefully decided by an independent international judging panel, including Paul McLaughlin (UK) - CEO of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), Hugues Haentjens (France) - Editor-in-Chief of Chaud Froid Performance, Norbert Otten (Germany) - Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Advanced Building Technologies GmbH and Rafael Úrculo (Spain) - founding partner of engineering consultancy Úrculo Ingenieros Consultores. Panasonic Home Appliance Air conditioning Europe representatives, Hiroshi Komatsubara CSO (Global Chief Sales Officer), Enrique Vilamitjana, COO (Chief Operating Officer) and Junji Okamoto, General Manager of Planning were also present on the judging panel. Together, they selected which projects demonstrated the most flair and innovation, as well as showcasing sustainable design, efficiency, cost effectiveness and aesthetics.
The winner of each category will have the chance to fly to Japan to visit the Panasonic headquarters and other impressive Panasonic facilities and the ground-breaking Fujisawa Sustainable Smart Town.
