Panasonic launches new wall mounted PKEA unit
23/08/2013
Designed to provide high-quality heating and cooling for offices and professional environments, including server and computer rooms (where inside room cooling is a necessity), Panasonic is pleased to announce the launch of its new wall mounted PKEA units.
Adding to Panasonic’s successful domestic and commercial unit ranges, the new wall mounted PKEA line-up delivers consistent heating and cooling through its technically advanced changeover system, even when outside temperatures reach as low as -15°C. Ideal for 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week operation, PKEA comes with a 5-year warranty as standard and guarantees complete product peace of mind and system maintenance confidence.
Both indoor and outdoor single-phase wall mounted PKEA units are available in 2.8kW to 5kW and can deliver class leading energy-efficiency ratings of up to 7.1 A++ in SEER and 4.4 A+ SCOP. Its electronic expansion valve ensures accurate sub-cooling and adjustable refrigerant flow, whilst its outdoor DC fan motor provides flexible air-flow for optimum condensation pressure on the outdoor pipe temperature sensor.
Each wall mounted PKEA is provided with Panasonic’s timer remote control and interface options, including the PAW-Server-PKEA, which is available for purchase as a dry contact optional extra, which makes server room contact through BMS systems even easier.
Providing exceptional reliability and offering an optimum product-life cycle, Panasonic’s PAW-SERVER-PKEA works together in an alternating pattern to ensure both systems share the same amount of operation hours. Should the demand exceed the capacity of the operating system, the second system which is in standby mode, will start to increase the total capacity and return to standby mode when the demand reduces.
Via a cloud-based monitoring system, users now have a range of flexible and intelligent solutions to monitor the indoor units. Simply connect the interface to the local Wi-Fi network to enjoy the benefits of the PAW-SERVER-PKEA, which include:
• On/Off and Temperature Setting Management controls
• Backup self-management
• Error indication
• Rotation
• Dry contact signals available
• Energy-saving functions
• Third-party BMS or PLC system management
“Connectivity options represent a substantial improvement in the user’s experience in control of HVAC systems from Panasonic, but for those without a computer to hand, our PAW-SERVER-PKEA provides a solution”, says Marc Diaz, Panasonic’s UK Country Manager. “The additional interface allows for dry contact functionality, meaning that server room functions can be easily set-up on the interface - by the user - without a computer.”
