Panasonic Launches Latest G Generation Aquarea Heat Pumps

14/09/2015

Panasonic has released its new generation of the G Series Monobloc, a new generation of Aquarea air-to-water heat pumps, featuring a ream of new benefits to help homeowners and businesses convert their air conditioning and heating to a more sustainable solution.

As part of Panasonic’s drive to provide the most energy efficient, high quality heating and cooling systems, the Aquarea G Series enables faster and easier installation, better control and greater efficiency.

The new generation of the Aquarea G Series includes units in High Performance, TCAP (total capacity) and High Temperature system variants. These offer a range of new benefits including; the A-class pump, which reduces energy consumption by adapting water pressure according to demand, advanced Defrost mode that prevents water in the system from freezing and causing damage to the property, and easier installation. Back-up heating activation has now also been lowered from 23°C to 10°C during normal operation.

Marc Diaz, UK and Ireland Country Manager at Panasonic Heating and Cooling said of the new G-series that “this new generation is a step up from previous models with additional benefits for installers and those looking to save money on their energy bills. It is an example of the constant innovation that Panasonic is investing in to make our products more efficient, easier to install and simpler to use.”

The Aquarea High Performance, TCAP and High Temperature ranges have a raft of features that ensure market-leading efficiency and ease of installation. The High Temperature system can deliver heat to high temperature radiators, such as cast iron models, and conforms to the upcoming ErP directive, like all G series products. These can be connected to solar panels, further increasing their energy efficiency, making them well-suited to retrofit projects. The new iteration of the TCAP unit is able to maintain the same nominal capacity at an even lower temperature, -15°C, and can also be connected to solar panels and older boilers, making it an ideal all round product.

The G series also includes an updated controller that has increased functionality, making it easier than ever to control heating and cooling effectively. It has a holiday mode allowing regular heating and cooling schedules to be paused so energy is not wasted. It has a power consumption reading so that users can see exactly how much power their system is using, and auto mode, which ensures that homes will also be heated and cooled to the optimum temperature.

The controller also features a Dry Concrete setting, which regulates the temperature of underfloor heating to speed up the process of drying freshly poured concrete. This can be of great help during construction of a new building as it can significantly reduce the time spent waiting for the concrete to dry and so allow construction to be completed quicker.

Via a cloud-based monitoring system, users now have a range of flexible and intelligent solutions to monitor the new generation of the G series. Customers can use a smart phone, any Android device or simply a PC with Internet access, to control their heat pump system away from their homes at the touch of a button.
